Erik Erikson (Bubba, his playing nickname) was a former nose tackle for five seasons for the Dallas Cowboys. A huge man, standing seven feet tall and weighing almost three hundred and fifty pounds, all muscle with bright red hair and a full bushy beard. Erik single-handedly laid to rest the fantasy football linemen are big and dumb because, after being forced to retire from the NFL because of injuries, he earned dual PhDs in Chemical Engineering and Metallurgy from Texas A&M University.
Erik was born and raised in East Texas near Livingston, Texas. His father was a locksmith, but in his heart, he was a Blacksmith like the six generations of Erikson men who preceded him. Erik’s father’s name was Bear, and he was almost as big as Erik, standing 6’ 10” tall. Bear supported his family as a locksmith, but his true calling was blacksmithing. He was known all over East Texas for the quality of his Bowie-style handmade knives. Erik grew up pumping his father’s bellows and learning to be just as good a blacksmith as his father. He claims her began developing his immense body from pumping his father’s large bellows as a young boy.
Erik’s IQ is even larger than his immense physique. Yet, when he chooses to, Erik can speak East Texan fluently and frequently does to make a point or bring humor into a conversation. The rest of the time, he speaks as the well-educated man he is. Erik is married with four children. His wife, Honey, is a registered nurse from the Philippines. Honey and Erik have a special bond and are committed to each other. Erik is very protective of his family. The quickest way to engage his temper is to threaten any family member. He also raises English Mastiff dogs as his father did before him. The Mastiffs are guardians of the Erikson family in his absence.
